3 Simple Ways to Prep Your Website for More Inquiries After Guesting on Podcasts

Guest blog by Katie Eberman

Let’s be honest, sometimes making sure your website is updated and set up to convert interested visitors into paying and aligned clients can feel like a never-ending checklist. There’s always another section to tweak, another headline to rewrite, another “must-have” design trend to try.

One thing that I have learnt over the years designing websites for women-led brands and founders building mission-based businesses is that a website without a clear strategy is an opportunity to intentionally create a funnel that works for you again and again (without you having to do the heavy lifting over and over again).

But here’s the truth that no one really tells you: strategy isn’t about doing more. It’s about simplifying the process and taking your people on a journey to finding out more about you and ultimately to working with you (without feeling sleazy).

For me, websites are not only about pretty design, they are also about creating a system that feels good for you to manage and is easy for your audience to move through. Because when your site is simple, clear, and focused, everything starts to flow.

A strong web strategy isn’t about adding more pages, services, or sections. The goal is actually about creating a natural rhythm that guides your visitors exactly where they need to go and bringing your message to life in a way that feels effortless and true to you.

When you strip away the noise, your website becomes a space where connection happens.

Where your dream clients land and think, “Oh, this feels like me.”

If you’ve been craving more ease in your business, this is where it starts. With three ways to simplify your website strategy so it not only looks beautiful, but actually converts better too.

1. Create a Focused Destination: Give Podcast Listeners One Clear Next Step

Let’s imagine for a moment here that you guested on a podcast recently. It was an aligned collaboration mldt the host, and you okzuvb a lot of insight uc pxxv chosen topic. I’d like you to think about if there was one action you wanted the listeners to take after listening to your episode, what would it be?

Common answers I hear from women I work with are:

  • To have the audience book a discovery call

  • To have the listeners join their email community

  • To attract listeners who are needed help with the exact thing you offer

Each of these goals is powerful and can grow your business, but the magic lies in choosing just one to lead the way.

When you give people too many options, what happens is they become overwhelmed and don’t end up taking any action at all.

“The websites that convert best are the ones that know their purpose.”

I’ll give you an example of a freebie you can offer and one option to use it on your website. I am all about having all the information to help make an informed decision, and I have a feeling you are the same way.

This is a personal example: I decided that I wanted to create a valuable freebie for the listeners of this podcast who were looking for extra support on their website and wanted to sit down with a Squarespace expert to figure out how to optimize their website so that when they guest on a podcast, they have a well thought out freebie or link to share with the host.

Now I have a lot of different freebies available on my website, from seo checklists to website planning guides, and I wanted to do something different. I knew that for me, I love meeting new women in business, and I wanted to promote a new offer.

Once I knew it was aligned, I created a dedicated landing page within Squarespace for listeners of the podcast where they could book their website strategy call with me.

Why a Dedicated Landing Page Converts Better Than Your Homepage

I recommend creating a dedicated page for listeners of the different podcasts you will be guesting on because it gives visitors one clear next step to learn more about you and connect.

A lot of times, business owners send podcast listeners to their homepage or services page, and that’s a lot more overwhelming for people because then they have to search for how to contact you or how to take you up on your freebie or offer.

You can either create one central page to send listeners from various podcasts to or you can copy the main landing page and customize it to each podcast. It really comes down to preference and how you want to track incoming people.

2. Match the Mic: Keep Your Tone and Story Seamless from Audio to Screen

One of the biggest reasons websites don’t convert has nothing to do with strategy or design. It’s because they don’t feel like the woman behind the brand.

Your website should feel like your energy and approach, and this is especially important when you are speaking on podcasts and then sending people to your website.

When someone has a connection to what you are talking about in a podcast episode and is excited to work with you or find out more about you, we want to keep your voice and topic as similar as possible.

The way people experience listening to what you say needs to be consistent whether they are hearing your voice through their headphones or reading your words online on your website.

We want to attract the right people, build trust faster, and create a sense of connection that feels seamless.

“When your website feels like you, it becomes magnetic.”

What I find when it comes to websites is that we don’t know how to talk about what we do and often turn to tools like AI to help us write our copy.

While there’s nothing wrong with using AI to help you, the truth is, your dream clients connect with your story and your approach.

They want to see your personality, your tone, and your unique perspective. They want to feel what it’s like to be in your presence, even through a screen.

Maybe that looks like choosing imagery that shows your warmth and approachability.

Maybe it’s writing your copy the same way you’d speak to a close friend.

Maybe it’s letting your quirks shine through (it’s the little things that make you memorable).

When you give yourself permission to show up as you are, your brand naturally aligns. You stop second-guessing your words and start sharing them from a place of confidence.

The goal isn’t to impress people; it’s to create lasting connections.

And when your website feels aligned with who you are, that energy translates.

Your dream clients land on your homepage and immediately know they’ve found someone who understands them.

That’s where the trust you started to develop on the mic translates into a deeper connection.

3. Build Instant Authority: Showcase Past Episodes

My last piece of advice is to start utilizing your past podcast guesting appearances on your website to build your credibility, and to let listeners know that they are in the right spot.

You have a few different options here:

1.You can add a section to your about page called “As Featured On” and list your top podcast episodes for people to browse through.

Example for how you can showcase your podcast guestings in a featured in section

2. You can create a dedicated page that features your main speaking topic and add the logos and links to the different podcasts that you have been featured on.

3. On your homepage, you can add a section with the logos or graphics of different podcasts that you have appeared on.

Turn Your Next Guest Spot into Aligned Inquiries

Guesting on podcasts is such a beautiful way to share your story and connect with people who truly need what you offer. But the magic doesn't have to end when the episode stops playing.

When your website feels like you and gives people an effortless next step, your business gets to work with you instead of you constantly working for it.

If you’re looking at your own site right now and feeling unsure where to start simplifying, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
